Bianca Mackail
Bianca is an amazing hula hoop performer with incredible agility, gracefulness and comical flare.
Bianca’s love of acrobatics, movement and pointed toes started at the age of five through gymnastics. A family move to a strong, arts based community gave Bianca the opportunity to become involved with dance and theatre. Here, she choreographed and performed in many diverse dance and theatre shows as a teenager.
In 2000, inspired by seeing circus for the first time, Bianca moved to Brisbane and flung herself into Vulcana Women’s Circus.
In 2004 Bianca completed a Diploma at CircoArts in New Zealand, Specialising in Aerials and Hula Hoop. In 2009 Bianca trained with specialty trainers in Kiev, Ukraine.
She has worked with traditional and contemporary circuses, theme parks and extensively in corporate entertainment with Aerial Angel productions, throughout Australia and Asia. She has performed at festivals such as Adelaide Fringe Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Sydney Festival, Woodford Folk Festival and Hoopla Festival. She has also taught a variety of aerial, acrobatics and manipulation at Circoarts (New Zealand), Circa, Vulcana Woman’s Circus and Spaghetti Circus.
