Malamajo is an exciting new Brisbanebased dance and instrumental performance group whose art is based on the traditions of Africa. With members drawn from most continents on the planet, the group is truly multicultural and celebrates its diversity.

Artistic director Nii Armah (Ghana) blends traditional and contemporary rhythms from East and West Africa to create a passionate, memorable and authentic African cultural experience.

The music is diverse – from soulful melodies to high energy drum rhythms. Members of the groups have performed at numerous high profile festivals, government and private functions.

Malamajo can tailor performances and workshops to suit any festival, celebration or corporate event.
