The Bowery Hot Five
The Bowery Hot Five is a vibrant, cool Jazz group lead by the charismatic Mr Mal Wood. Mal drives the band into swinging and grooving places where the audience can dance, chill, talk , reflex and relax.
The band members are:
Mal Wood – Trumpet / Flugelhorn / Vocals - Charismatic and cool.
Papa Joe Roberts – Baritone Saxophone / Clarinet - A Master musician who swings hard and to the point .
John Reeves – Piano / Piano Accordion - Two – handed Maestro sending the harmonies into the heavens creating space and good vibes .
Stu Barry – Double Bass - Laying down the cookin’ Bass lines and generating a warm pocket of love cool tunes.
Steve Francis – Drums / Percussion - Two – hands and two feet full of fun and swinging good times. The back bone of the band giving life to everything he touches .
