Kate Miller-Heidke

In July 2004, when singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke released her self-financed, self-distributed seven track debut EP, the purists who’d followed her career saw it as a dalliance, a distraction from her real path as an opera / cabaret singer.

Hailed as “One of the most exciting female performers to recently emerge” (Courier Mail), Kate Miller-Heidke is taking the Australian music scene by storm with her widely acclaimed vocal abilities.

Building on the unique vocal and performance dynamics learnt through early operatic training and a love of musical theatre, Miller-Heidke's live shows are as affecting, fun and memorable as her songs. Miller-Heidke and her band have performed hundreds of shows in Australia in recent years, and Kate is now renowned for being one of Australia's finest live performers.

Kate Miller-Heidke is also making significant inroads abroad, and has played to large audiences in the UK, the USA, Spain, New Caledonia, Cambodia and Nepal.
