In 1989 at the age of five, Megan made her public debut, singing Dolly Parton’s ‘Coat of Many Colours’ at Mt Isa’s Spinifex Country Music Club. This was documented in a video that was screened as an element in Megan’s performance in Queensland’s high profile singer showcase ‘Women In Voice’ in 2006. In between these two events Megan has sung every where you can sing in Mt Isa, from the leads in school musicals to slick country standards at the Mt Isa Rodeo, then slinging her bass and a mop of dreadlocks in rocking gigs at the unique Mt Isa Music Shack.
Megan was the standout local performer in the 2003 QMF Production ‘Bob Cat Dancing’ showing the same determination and talent in the face of those 5000 strong audiences that she had that very first time she sang up a storm at The Buffalo Club.
Megan has made a real impact on audiences in a number of high profile performances at The Powerhouse, QPAC and The Woodford Folk Festival. Megan gave absolutely beautiful performances of John Rodgers' songs from ‘The Sunshine Club’ first performed by Ursula Yovitch, and in ‘The Dream Catchers’ (produced by the QMF 2007), a Flamenco fusion work about Spanish émigrés in North Queensland and has put in a lot work in recent years to develop a show about the women in her family. This show debut in Cairns in August 2010.
