Finalist on Australia's Got Talent 2011 - Benchmark is Australia's Gold Medal Seniors barbershop quartet, based in Queensland, Australia.
They love singing "a capella" four-part harmony, usually based on the barbershop style. They do our best to entertain their audiences with both toe-tapping up-tunes and heart-rending ballads.
Formed in 2008, they have competed in such events as:
Sunshine Region annual competitions: Each year, the local region of AAMBS (Australian Association of Male Barbershop Singers) runs a local state contest. All choruses and quartets seeking to compete nationally must qualify here. Here's how they have done:
- 2008 to 2011: Won the Gold Medals in both Seniors and Open classes
- Pan Pacific Barbershop Championships: We competed in Hawaii in 2009 and won the Silver medal
- Tooheys Talent Search 2010 at Twin Towns: Achieved 3rd place, out of hundreds of contestants
