Judy Glen - Comic Opera Diva
One of Australia's most unique talents, JUDY GLEN is what you get if you were to cross CAROL BURNETT with JULIE ANDREWS.
She has achieved national and, increasingly, international success as a comedienne, actress, satirist, television performer, musical theatre artist and concert and operatic soprano.
Judy Glen's musical theatre credits are varied and include: THE SOUND OF MUSIC, ME & MY GIRL, HMS PINAFORE , MAN OF LA MANCHA, SEVEN LITTLE AUSTRALIANS, Reg Livermore's BIG SISTER - A LARRIKIN'S OPERA, NUNSENSE and many more.
Judy Glen has achieved enormous success with her own SPAGHETTI OPERA program (now re-named A COMEDY OF ARIAS) with which she was invited to appear in the 1992 program of the WARANA FESTIVAL in Brisbane on the BRISBANE RIVER STAGE with the QUEENSLAND SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, on the lawns of GOVERNMENT HOUSE in Canberra with the CANBERRA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, with the TASMANIAN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA and with the ADELAIDE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, all during 1995 and with the PENRITH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA in 1996. Her own YOU BEAUT THE OZZIE SHOW has seen her appear as guest artist with the PENRITH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA.
